Discussions held during meeting of Stakeholders of MTCTE on 16th January 2019 at TEC.

A meeting of stakeholders of MTCTE was organised at TEC New Delhi on 16th January,2019, wherein about 90 representatives of OEM companies, test labs, importers and industry associations participated. The meeting took place at the newly commissioned Conference Room “Manak”, Ground Floor, TEC. The meeting was chaired by Sh. Ravi Kant, Member(Services), Digital Communication Commission.

During the meeting, representatives of OEMs and industry associations emphasised the need to end uncertainty about the date of implementation of MTCTE, citing various reasons, including non-availability of sufficient number of test labs in TEC. Member(S) informed them that the dates shall be notified very soon. The industry was informed about the ongoing status of setting up of labs in ITI and by private parties, and it was emphasised that adequate number of test labs will become available as soon as the MTCTE is actually rolled out.

A number of queries raised by stakeholders were answered and clarified during meeting. Few queries, which are under consideration of TEC, shall be replied soon and necessary FAQ will be issued.

A demo of the latest version of MTCTE portal was arranged during which the features introduced based upon feedback of stakeholders were highlighted. Since most of the issues and queries raised by stakeholders stand resolved with the latest version of MTCTE portal, it was decided that user data created so far would be cleared and users shall be creating fresh login credentials and uploading reports using actual documents.

The portal data has since been reset. Users are requested to use the portal, which is still in trial, to create new User name/ password/ company profile etc. and upload test reports etc. using actual documents and reports. Before using the portal, they are advised to follow the (revised) user instructions available under “Downloads” on MTCTE portal. On the request of portal users, the file upload size is being increased to 25MB per file.

As discussed in the meeting, all feedback/ queries/ issues related to MTCTE portal are being treated as closed. Fresh feedback/ queries may be submitted to helpdesk.
