Extension of Date for inviting public comments on discussion paper for development of Indian Artificial Intelligence Stack

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the role of ICT, through use of data driven decision making model which can impact people in all walk of life. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to solve multiple problems in the country that may impact the various sectors like health, agriculture, education, finance, utilities, infra etc. 

To develop standards in the field of Artificial intelligence and based on standards, to develop Indian stack on Artificial Intelligence, a cross functional committee was constituted by Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC) – the technical arm of Department of Telecommunications, Government of India comprising of officers of Department of Telecommunications to work on AI standards & develop the Indian AI stack. The committee deliberated on various aspects of standardization in AI technologies and came up with a discussion paper on Indian Artificial Intelligence stack. 

All the stakeholders were requested to offer comments of their respective organization on the discussion paper by 3rd October 2020. Now, the committee has decided to extend the date for inviting public comments till 2nd November 2020. Accordingly, all the stakeholders i.e. Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings, Industry, Academia, R&D Bodies, Consumer groups etc. are requested to offer their comments on the discussion paper latest by 2nd November 2020.The comments may sent on the following email address:  aigroup-dot@gov.in ,  diradmnap-dot@gov.in and adgs.tec-dot@gov.in .
